Weaknesses
To much image on untidy position really “destroy“ the layout. We do not know where is the part we should start first. There is a widow word : “nanti.“
Opportunity
Some girls are looking for the information with this style (eventhough hard to read). Some girls loves to see the image more than the articles.
Threats
There a lot of another magazine that can place image and text much better than this. The color also has a part on this spread, eventhough pink is their color but it againts the iamges and text.
Feedback
They should remove a part, either image or text or color or other element.

The article really informative, and the typeface selection can give serious look and feel.
Weaknesses
A lot of widow words : “tersebut.“ , “beredar.“ , “Jakarta“ , “mereka.“ , “daerah.“ , “anggaran“ , “korupsi.“. The spread also full of text and make people’s eyes get tired eventhough before read this article. The heading too close between every paragraph.
Opportunity
Some girls are looking for the information with this style (eventhough hard to read).
Threats
There a lot of another magazine that write this article much better than this. There another magazine that can put some illustration or something to support this article.
Feedback
They should put some illustations. They must remove the widow words. They must pay attention on heading between paragraph.

The typeface selection is a big mistake. It is hard to read. There are a lot of inappropriate headings. Too much text make me just SKIP this spread. There is a big blank awkward space near the boy image.
Opportunity
People really love to read about this article.
Threats
There a lot of another magazine that can design this layout much better than this. Even this spread does not attract me to read.
Feedback
They must change the typeface, they must pay attention on heading, and they must pay attention on negative space.

This spread is very informative. The text is on baseline. There is no hypenation and widow word.
Weaknesses
A spread with full of text is BIG NO for me because i want to skip this spread eventhough really informative. The typeface reflect the serious feel but the heading to close and hard to read, makes my eyes tired.
Opportunity
People really want to read about this article.
Threats
There a lot of another magazine that can design this layout much better than this. Even this spread does not attract me to read.
Feedback
They must change the typeface, they must pay attention on heading. They should put some image to support this article and make it more interesting.

Some breeder or dog lover are looking for the information with this style (eventhough hard to read). Some breeder or dog lover would like to see the image and article and just ignore the layout.

There a lot of another magazine that can place image and text much better than this. There are another magazine can design this spread more interesting and still informative.

They should set the image neatly and without black frame on all images. They should put the text on baseline. They should make this spread

Images and information support each other. Typeface easy enough to read. The grid help reader to read.

There are some widow words : “berarti.“ , “niasin.“ The layout they use for other spread are same like this (boring). And the right page, between text and image too balance and not really good. Also there is bad leading on kicker.
Opportunity
Some people are looking for the information with this style (eventhough boring layout). Some people do not looking for good design.
Threats
There a lot of another magazine that can place image and text more interesting than this.
Feedback
They should make the image on right page smaller. They should fix the leading on kicker and widow word.

Strength
This spread is really neat. It looks masculine eventhough the background of right page photo is floral. The type between subtitle and body copy easily visible. Sans Serif give the young feel and easy to read.
Weaknesses
The weaknesses of this spread just a little mistake. That is widow word. There are three widow words.
Opportunity
The topic, a lot of girls loves this guy and may read this spread eventhough if this is not a good layout. Some girls are looking for artist information. Girls do not love to read so much texts.
Threats
There are a lot of magazine discuss about this guy and may have a better layout design to attract girls attention.
Feedback
This spread little bit too crowded, maybe the left page image should be smaller and do not pack a page with image + text.

This spread can build the look and feel of the topic. Only 2 colors in the layout, pink and black. The pink line on the text help enough to make the text not boring. The text also easy to read.
Weaknesses
The only one mistake of this spread is widow word : “Entertainment.“
Opportunity
The use of color is very interesting, it can attract pink lovers, although they do not like the topic. There are some people fans to this girl (topic).
Threats
There are a lot of magazine can discuss the same topic with better layout and different look and feel.
Feedback
Eventhough the girl is wearing pink clothes, does not mean to design in pink theme. It can be some another theme.

Strength
For a spread of fashion part of a magazine, i think this is a good design because eventhough this is fashion, the position of image and text can be seen comfortably.
Weaknesses
The left page, there is a different typeface they use for one title. It looks awkward for me. There is a hypenation but it is okay because just one. But the worst part is the margin, they type the text to the edge of paper (little bit hard to read it).
Opportunity
People are looking for the new fashion (topic). People are looking for fashion part but in neat style (easy to see)
Threats
There are another magazine that layouting this fashion part in messy style but easy to be seen.
Feedback
The different typeface should be same as another typeface, and the text should not type until almost the edge of paper (margin).

Strength
There a lot of text but a big image can balance it. They are using baseline and make it neat eventhough some text they tilted slightly.
Weaknesses
I do not like the leading because make the reader like under preassure whereas the topic already “under preassure“ haha. Some leading not same as others and too close from subhead to bodycopy.
Opportunity
People are looking for informative article but easy to read.
Threats
There are another magazine that design this topic better than this.
Feedback
They should pay more attention on leading and look and feel.

Strength
They use the grid neatly. the information also not biring because they put some images that eye catching. The colors and text have a young and warm feel to make people comfortable when they read this. The text also on base line.
Weaknesses
The side bar on the left page is untidy and some of hypenation ( i do not like hypenation ). The image also too crowded (the image selection). The color and element not really Japan.
Opportunity
People are looking for the information about Japan. People are looking for easy to read layout.
Threats
There are another magazine that design this topic in Japanese theme layout.
Feedback
The font maybe can use light, because it too bold. The image selection can better than this. Do not use hypenation on small paragraph!

Strength
(Maybe) they are using 5 grids, it quite risky, but they can make it really easy and comfortable to read! The serious look and feel can be seen from the typefase and leading. The image on the centre can be a trick to put an image without cuts. The negative space also have a power, not just blank space, it balaced left and right page.
Weaknesses
The one and only weakness i found is widow word : “it.“
Opportunity
A man or business man have to move fastly, they have to read fastly, the typeface and the leading really help the reader to read easily and fastly.
Threats
There are another magazine can make it just a page and easy to read because an image in this spread also have a big part. There are some people that do not like to read serif typeface (uncomfortable for some people)
Feedback
Maybe the headline should more stand out and no widow word.

In my opinion, this is an example of interesting design of spread layout, more precisely for images. The headline “BOOM“ and “SHAKALAKA“ really help this spread. If there is without the headline, both of those pages will be boring.

In my opinion, this is an example of interesting design of spread layout. They can make the negative space become the powerful space, not only a blank space. The leadyng and font support each other. Look and feel really warm and easy to read.
